All Purestream Alkaline filters contain oxygenating and alkalising ceramics including Negative Potential Ceramics and Tourmaline.

As the main ingredient of our water filter media, Tourmaline provides a natural source of infa-red rays and negative ions and the only mineral on earth to show electricity, improving circulation, relieving stress, increasing mental alertness and strengthening the immune system function. Tourmaline has the function of purifying drinking water and releasing mineral microelements. It can also reduce water molecule size making water more hydrating, activate cells and makes water alkaline.

Includes Negative Potential Ceramics (ORP). Virtually all liquids have an Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP), which is potential for one liquid substance to reduce the oxidation of another substance, as measured in mill volts 9mV). In other words, the more powerful the antioxidant, the lower the ORP level. As things oxidise, the ORP rises. Tap water is approx. 600+ mV

The ORP of the Pi Alkaline is -500 mV. Negative potential ion water contains higher levels of calcium and can greatly improve conditions including diabetes, high blood cholesterol, fatigue, insomnia, obesity etc.
